With a TGVmax pass and three free days, the SNCF app asks where you want to go. The real question is the other way round: where can you go? Answering it means trying destinations one by one.
Trainquillou flips the question. Give it a station and a date, and it shows every destination that still has TGVmax seats, on a map.
What it does
- Five kinds of search from three fields (from, to, date): anywhere from a station, anywhere to a station, round trips, several days at once, and connections when there is no direct train.
- A MapLibre map links your station to each destination. A click on a city shows its times, travel time and booking links.
- Filters by travel time and departure period apply to both the list and the map.
- Searches are shareable: the URL holds the whole search.
- Each tracked route has its own server-rendered page, refreshed by the daily data import.
The code is open source under the AGPL-3.0 licence.
